AutoNation Subaru Delivers Comfort to Cancer Patients! - Katie K
AutoNation Hilton Head has once again demonstrated its commitment to the community by partnering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to deliver blankets to the Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St. Joseph's/Candlers in Bluffton and Hilton Head. This heartfelt gesture is part of the Subaru Loves to Care program, which brings comfort and encouragement to cancer patients across the nation. Each blanket and kit was accompanied by a handwritten message of hope from the customers and staff of AutoNation Subaru—reminders that no one fights alone. LLS is proud to stand alongside Subaru to help spread hope, love, and warmth to those battling cancer—right here in our local community and beyond. A huge thank you to the entire AutonNation Subaru Hilton Head team for their ongoing support of LLS’s mission to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head Teams Up to Support Local Community - Karen D
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Hardeeville, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 02/11/2025, AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head donated 204 shoes/socks to The Salvation Army of the Lowcountry. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head recently participated in the Subaru Loves to Care initiative by delivering blankets and care kits to cancer patients at St Joseph's/Candler Bluffton and Hilton Head offices. This compassionate outreach is part of Subaru's broader commitment to supporting health and wellness in local communities, especially for those undergoing cancer treatment. Subaru Loves to Care is one of the key pillas of the Subaru Love Promise, a corporate initiative that reflects Subaru's commitment to making a positive impact in the communities where we operate.

AutoNation Subaru was thrilled to be able to support and sponsor a Softball Team with Sun City Hilton Head, a retirement community about 1 mile from our dealership. Everyone that played and the fans that watched were happy to have AutoNation Subaru as a Sponsor. Many employees went to watch and cheer on the AutoNation Team over the season. We made it to the playoffs and ended up falling short of the title. We will return next season.
Granting Max's Wish - William H
AutoNation Subaru delivered once again with a fantastic party for Make A Wish South Carolina to celebrate sending Max to the Florida Keys to go FISHING from a BOAT, and to have a NERF gun war. This party was held at the AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head store in Hardeeville and Max had a great time. He was thrilled to get to go fishing from a boat but he had the biggest smile on his face when he was shooting the Subaru staff with the Nerf gun. Hot dogs, Tacos and Snow cones where on the menu also Max's favorites.
Making Waves for Wish Kid Max - Kea W
At just 9 years old, Max has already shown more courage and resilience than most of us do in a lifetime. Living with cystic fibrosis means every day brings its own challenges but you wouldn’t know it by the way Max lights up a room. So when it came time to celebrate his wish to go fishing in the Florida Keys, the team at AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head went above and beyond to make him feel like the star he is. And wow! Did they deliver! From the moment Max stepped into the showroom, he was greeted with one surprise after another. A real fishing boat was parked right inside to get him pumped for his upcoming trip. There was a taco bar filled with all his favorites, a table full of special gifts for his adventure, and everything Nerf, because Max lives for a good Nerf war. So of course, the AutoNation Subaru team transformed the entire showroom into a Nerf battlefield. Max, his brothers, and the Subaru crew suited up for an epic showdown that left everyone smiling and laughing. It wasn’t just fun, it was pure joy, and the kind of day that sticks with you. To top it all off, AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head presented Make-A-Wish South Carolina with a check for $18,000 - funds raised during the 2024 Subaru Share the Love® Event. That generous donation is enough to grant more than two wishes just like Max’s, giving even more local kids the chance to experience something magical. Max’s mom shared: “Max is such a wonderful soul and just shines daily even with the struggles he faces. Cystic fibrosis is a daily battle – you can’t always see it, but it wears on him. This trip is just for him, and I’m so thankful. It’s a blessing.” Thanks to Keith, Bill, and the entire AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head family, Max didn’t just get a send-off, he got a celebration of his strength, his spirit, and the community that stands behind him. Wishes like Max’s are so much more than a vacation. They’re a break from the everyday battles. They’re hope. They’re healing. And thanks to the Subaru Love Promise, they’re possible!
Recycling 101 - William H
AutoNation Subaru has been busy collecting Aluminum cans for Subaru Loves the Earth. We are thrilled to say we have collected over 300 pounds of aluminum cans. We delivered them to the Fire Department recycling bin to help burn victims.
Playing for Parker - William H
AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head was thrilled to be a Team Sponsor for one of the many teams that participated in the Cancer Benefit Tournament. This Tournament was started by the parents of a young girl "Parker" to raise money for families dealing with pivotal changes in their lives. The tournament was held March 8, 2025 at Hendrix Park in Ellabell, GA. There were about 20 teams ranging from 8 years and under all the way up to 14 years and under. AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head's team won the tournament for the 14 year and under. Congratulations to everyone who played and to all the volunteers and fans who came out to support such a worthy cause.
Stepping Out and Lacing Up - William H
AutoNation Subaru Hilton Head was thrilled to work with The Salvation Army Beaufort Campus for the second year in a row. Last year we delivered coats and this year we delivered shoes and socks. More than 100 pair of shoes and over 200 pair of socks were handed out. It is always fun and exciting to work with both Mr/Ms Long. Major in rank. Shoe sizes from T to adult 9 were lined in the pews of the chapel and everyone enjoyed looking over their choices and trying on their NEW shoes. Several people even hugged and thanked us and one little boy even got some water in his eyes.
Inaugural Meow Mixer - William H
The inaugural Meow Mixer was held February 13, 2025 at Palmetto Animal League. In the two hour event 7 cats were adopted and many of the guest also signed up to be either volunteers or foster parents. Food, Fun and many MEOWs were had by all. AutoNation is once again thrilled to work with such a meaningful organization that hits close to home for SUBARU. Please plan to attend the next Meow Mixer. It will be held February 12, 2026 at Palmetto Animal League.
